Performing the 3D calibration
Schedule
Calibration is required after:
 The first installation of aural Scan
 An aural Scan upgrade
 Transporting the scanner to a different place
 One month since the last 3D calibration.
Calibrate daily with:
 Increased production volume
 High ambient temperatures
 Fluctuations in temperature and/or humidity.
Procedure
 Select 3D calibration in the menu.
 During the first 3D calibration, fields #1 and #2 display the approximate
value 22, afterwards, the last input values are displayed there.
 Enter the values indicated in the label into fields #1 and #2:
 In full, with all digits
 With the separator , (comma).
If you do not enter the values on the label, or if you enter them incompletely,
the 3D calibration becomes unusable and the scanners measurements will be
inaccurate.
 aural Scan requires the following positioning:
3D calibration object

Ear
impression
Right
