6.Disconnectthebalancinghosefromthetransmissionttingclosesttothe
transmissionpumpinletforthepumptobeltered(Figure61).Installasteel
caponthettingandsteelpluginthebalancinghose.
IMPORTANT
Usingotherhydraulicuidscoulddamagethehydraulicsystem.
UsethehydraulicuidsthatarespeciedintheOperator’sManual.
7.Afteryouinstallthehigh-owltertothemachine,checkandllthereservoir
withthecorrectquantityofnewhydraulicuid.
8.Starttheengineandrunitatlow-idlespeed(1,400rpm).Checkfor
hydraulic-uidleaksatthelterandhoseconnections.Correctanyleaks
beforeyouproceed.
CAUTION
Duringthisprocedure,allthewheelswillbeoffthegroundand
rotating.
Ensurethatthemachineiswellsupportedsoitwillnotmoveand
accidentallyfalltopreventinjuringanyonearoundthemachine.
IMPORTANT
Whileengagingthetractioncircuit,monitortheindicatoronthe
highowhydrauliclter.Iftheindicatorshowsred,eitherreduce
thepressureonthetractionpedalorreducetheenginespeedto
decreasethehydraulicowthroughthelter.
9.Withtheenginerunningatlow-idlespeed,slowlymovethetractionpedalto
theforwarddirectiontoallowowthroughthetractioncircuitandhigh-ow
lter.Keepthetractioncircuitengagedinforwardfor5minuteswhile
graduallyincreasingbothforwardpressureonthetractionpedalandengine
speed.Monitorthelterindicatortoensurethatthegreencolorisshowing
duringoperation.
Note:Whenapplyingbrakestoincreasethetractionsystempressure,
ensurethattheparkingbrakelatchisnotpressed.Iftheparkingbrakelatch
ispressed,theenginewillstoprunning.
10.Withtheenginerunningathigh-idlespeed(3,000rpm)andtractionpedal
movedtotheforwarddirection,periodicallyapplybrakestoincreasepressure
inthetractioncircuit.Whilemonitoringthelterindicator,continuethis
processfor5moreminutes.
