Thekeyswitchislocatedonthecontrolpanelandhasthreepositions:OFF,
RUN,andSTART(Figure204).
TheToroElectronicController(TEC)monitorstheoperationofthekeyswitch.
TestingtheKeySwitch
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingdeck,settheparking
brake,andshutofftheengine.Removethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.Beforeyoudisconnectthekeyswitchfortesting,ensurethatyoutestthe
switchanditscircuitwiringasaTECelectricalinputwiththeInfoCenter
display;refertoUsingtheInfoCenterDisplayforTroubleshooting(page
5–30).
3.Iftheinputtestingveriesthatthekeyswitchandcircuitwiringarefunctioning
correctly,nofurtherkeyswitchtestingisnecessary.
4.Iftheinputtestingdeterminesthatthekeyswitchandcircuitwiringarenot
functioningcorrectly,proceedwiththefollowingkeyswitchtestingprocedure.
5.Removethecontrolpaneltogetaccesstothekeyswitch;referto
DisassemblingtheControlConsole(page6–54).
6.EnsurethatthekeyswitchisintheOFFposition.Disconnectthewireharness
connectorfromthekeyswitch.
7.ThekeyswitchterminalsareidentiedinFigure204andthecircuitryofthe
switchisshownintheCircuitLogicTable(page5–60).Withtheuseofa
