IMPORTANT

theothertoreadandrecordthetestresults.
1.Cleanthemachinefullybeforeyoudisconnectordisassemblethehydraulic
components.
Note:Cleanlinessisrequiredwheneveryouworkonthehydraulic
equipment.Contaminationcausestoomuchwearonhydrauliccomponents.
2.Whenyouperformtestsonthehydraulicsystem,weareyeprotection.
3.Beforeyouperformatest,checkthetractioncontrolleverlinkagesfor
improperadjustment,binding,orbrokenparts.
4.Performallthehydraulictestswiththehydraulicuidatnormaloperating
temperature.
5.Installcleanmetalcapsorplugsonthehydrauliclinesthatareleftopenor
exposedduringthetestingorcomponentremoval.
6.Whenyouuseahydraulictester(pressureandow),ensurethattheinletand
outlethosesareproperlyconnectedandnotreversedtopreventdamaging
thehydraulictesterorcomponents.
7.Installthehydraulicttingsbyhandandensurethattheyarenot
cross-threadedbeforeyoutightenthemwithawrench.
8.Positionthetesterhosestopreventtherotatingmachinepartsfrom
contactinganddamagingthehosesortester.
9.Afteryouconnectthetestequipment,checkthehydraulic-uidlevelinthe
hydraulictankandensurethatthetankhasthecorrectuidlevel.
10.Whenyouuseahydraulictester(pressureandow),openthetesterload
valvefullybeforeyoustarttheenginetoreducethepossibilityofdamaging
thecomponents.
11.Ensurethattheengineisingoodoperatingconditionbeforeperformingany
hydraulictest.
Note:Useaphototacwhenyouperformahydraulictest.Theenginespeed
canaffecttheaccuracyofthetesterreadings.
12.Ifthereisatractioncircuitproblem,perform1ormoreofthefollowingtests:
chargereliefvalvepressure,transmissionpistonpumpow,tractionrelief
valvepressure,and/orwheelmotorefciency.
13.Ifthereisaliftcircuitproblem,perform1ormoreofthefollowingtests:
implementreliefpressure,gearpumpow,and/orliftcylinderinternal
leakage.
14.IfthereisaPTOcircuitproblem,performthePTOpressurevalvetest.
15.Ifthereisasteeringcircuitproblem,perform1ormoreofthefollowingtests:
implementreliefpressureand/orgearpumpow.
TestingtheTractionSystemOperation
BecausethetractionsystemoftheGroundsmaster360machineuses2different
butinterconnectedcircuits,itisdifculttoidentifywhichcircuitiscausinga
problemandwhathydraulictestsshouldbeperformed.Usethefollowing
operationtestsandsuggestionsbeforeyouperformthehydraulictestsdescribed
inthissection.
1.Thewheelspeedshouldbethesameonthe2rearwheels.Ensurethatthe
hydraulicuidisatnormaloperatingtemperature.Withthemachinedrive
