ThePTOswitchislocatedonthecontrolpanel(Figure205).ThePTOswitchis
pulleduptoengagethePTOandpushedintodisengagethePTO.
TheTECmonitorsthepositionofthePTOswitch(upordown).Usingthe
inputsfromthePTOswitchandotherswitchesintheinterlocksystem,theTEC
controlstheenergizingofthehydraulicsolenoidvalveusedtodrivethecutting
deckmotor.
Note:ToengagethePTO,theseathastobeoccupied,tractionpedalshouldbe
intheNEUTRALposition,andthecuttingdeckhastobefullylowered.
TestingthePTOSwitch
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingdeck,settheparking
brake,andshutofftheengine.
2.BeforeyoudisconnectthePTOswitchfortesting,ensurethatyoutestthe
switchanditscircuitwiringasaTECelectricalinputwiththeInfoCenter
display;refertoUsingtheInfoCenterDisplayforTroubleshooting(page
5–30).
3.IftheInfoCenterveriesthatthePTOswitchandcircuitwiringarefunctioning
correctly,nofurtherswitchtestingisnecessary.
4.IftheInfoCenterdeterminesthatthePTOswitchandcircuitwiringarenot
functioningcorrectly,proceedwiththetest.
