Thefanspeedswitchislocatedinthecabheadliner(Figure218).Theswitchis
usedtoselecttheairconditioning/heaterfanspeed(off,low,medium,orhigh).
TestingtheFanSpeedSwitch
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingdeck,andshutoffthe
engine.Removethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.Toaccesstheswitch,removetheroofpanelfromthetopofthecab;referto
RoofAssembly(page8–10).
3.Removetheair/heatpanelfromthecabheadliner.
4.Disconnectthemachinewireharnessconnectorfromthefanspeedswitch.
5.TheswitchterminalsareidentiedinFigure219andthecircuitryofthe
switchisshownintheCircuitLogicTable(page5–76).Withtheuseofa
multimeter(ohmssetting),testtheswitchfunctionstodetermineifcontinuity
existsbetweenonlytheterminalslistedforeachswitchposition.Checkthe
continuitybetweentheswitchterminals.
