Lift/LowerCircuit:Lower
Asingle-sectiongearpumpisdirectlycoupledtothetransmissionwhichisdriven
bytheengine.Thisgearpumpsupplieshydraulicowforboththesteeringand
lift/lowercircuits.Thegearpumpowisroutedtothesteeringcontrolvalve
rstsothatthesteeringcircuithaspriority.Thepumptakesitssuctionfrom
thehydraulictank.
Whenthedeckliftswitchisinitsneutralstate,owfromthegearpumpbypasses
theliftcylinderandisroutedthroughthedeckliftmanifolddirectlytotheoil
coolerandthentothetransmission.Thetransmissioncasedrainallowsthe
hydraulicuidtoreturntothehydraulictank.
Note:EnsurethatthekeyswitchisintheRUNpositiontoallowthecuttingdeck
tobelowered.Whenthefrontofthedeckliftswitchispressed,thedeckwill
lowerfullyandentertheoatposition.Theswitchhasmomentarycontactsin
thelowerpositionsothattheswitchreturnstothecenterpositionafterbeing
pressedtolowerthecuttingdeck.
WhenthedeckliftswitchispressedtotheLOWERposition,thesolenoidvalveS1
inthedeckliftmanifoldisenergizedtocausethevalvetoshift.Theenergized
solenoidvalveS1allowsapathforuidowfromthebarrelendofthelift
cylinder.Theweightofthecuttingdeckcausestheliftcylindertoretract,allowing
thecuttingdecktolowertotheground.Anoricettinginthedeckliftmanifold
controlsthespeedoftheliftcylinderwhileloweringthecuttingdeck.
Thecircuitoperationforloweringthecuttingdeckissimilartoraisingit.However,
thehydraulicowisusedtoretracttheliftcylinderandthisactionallowsthe
cuttingdecktolower.
CuttingDeckFloat
Thecuttingdeckoatallowsthefullyloweredcuttingdecktofollowground
surfacecontours.OntheGroundsmaster360machines,thedeckliftmanifold
solenoidvalveS1staysenergizedforthedeckoatwhenthedeckisfully
lowered.Thisenergizedsolenoidprovidesanoilpassagetoandfromthelift
cylindertoallowcylinderandcuttingdeckmovementwhilemowing.
