TheGroundsmaster360machinesuseanelectroniccontrolunit(ECU)for
enginemanagementandtocommunicatewiththeTECandInfoCenterdisplay
onthemachine.IfyoumustdisconnecttheengineECUforanyreason,ensure
thatthekeyswitchisintheOFFpositionwiththekeyremovedforaminimumof
30secondsbeforedisconnectingtheengineECU.

CAN-busCommunications
TheTEC,YanmarengineECU,andInfoCenterdisplayusedonthe
Groundsmaster360machinescommunicatewitheachotheronaCAN-bus
system.Thissystemallowsthetractionunittofullyintegrateallthedifferent
electricalcomponentsofthemachineandbringthemtogetherasone.The
CAN-bussystemreducesthenumberofelectricalcomponentsandconnections
thatareusedonthemachineandallowsthenumberofwiresinthewireharness
tobesignicantlyreduced.Theintegrationoftheelectricalfunctionsalsoallows
theInfoCenterdisplaytoassistwiththeelectricalsystemdiagnostics.
TheCANidentiesthecontrollerareanetworkthatisusedonthemachine.
The2speciallydesigned,twistedcablesformthebus.Thesewiresprovidethe
datapathwaysbetweentheTEC,YanmarengineECU,andInfoCenterdisplay
usedonthemachine.TheengineeringtermforthesecablesaretheCANHigh
andCANLow.Attheendsofthetwistedpairofbuscablesarethe120-ohm
terminatorresistors.
TheCAN-buslinkcontrolseachofthecomponentsthatrequiresonly4wires
tooperateandcommunicatetothesystem:CANHigh,CANLow,B+(power),
andground.
