6.Onbothsidesofthetransmission,removethescrewandangenutthat
securesthelinkassemblytothetransmissioncontrolarm(Figure74).
Note:Theboltisinstalledfromtheinnersideofthecontrolarm.
7.Removethe2screws,2atwashers,and2angenutsthatsecurethe
seatchanneltotheframe(Figure75).Separatethechannelfromtheframe
andcarefullypositionthechannelawayfromtheframetoalloweasier
transmissionremoval.
8.Drainthehydraulicuidfromthehydraulictankandtransmission.
9.Cleanthehydraulichoseendsandttingsonthetransmission,gearpump,
andhydraulictanktopreventcontaminantsfromenteringintothehydraulic
system.
10.Forassemblypurposes,labelallthehydraulichosesandttings.Remove
thehydraulichosesfromthettingsonthetransmission,gearpump,and
hydraulictank.Allowthehosestodrainintoasuitablecontainer.
11.Installcleancapsorplugsinthehoseandttingopeningstopreventsystem
contamination.
12.Removethe2bolts(item19inFigure73),2locknuts,androllpinthat
securesthedriveshafttothetransmission,anddisengagethedriveshaft
fromthetransmission.
Note:Two8mmeyeboltscanbeinstalledintothethreadedbossesin
thetopofthetransmissiontoallowtheuseofaliftorhoisttoremovethe
transmission.
CAUTION
Theweightofthetransmissionisapproximately41kg(90lb).
Supportthetransmissionassemblywhenyouremoveitfromthe
ywheelhousingtopreventitfromfallingandcausingpersonal
injury.
13.Removethe7bolts(items10and12inFigure73)and7lockwashersthat
securethetransmissiontotheywheelhousing.Notethelocationofthe
shorterbolt(35mm)forassemblypurposes.
IMPORTANT
Ensurethatyoudonotdamagethetransmission,ywheelhousing,
hydrauliclines,electricalharness,orotherpartswhileremovingthe
transmission.
14.Movethetransmissionassemblytowardthefrontofthemachineandaway
fromtheywheelhousingandcouplerontheengineywheel.Liftthe
transmissionfromthemachine.
15.Locateandnotethelocationofthe2dowelpins(item16inFigure73)from
thetransmissionandywheelhousing.
16.Ifthehydraulicttingsaretoberemovedfromthetransmission,markthe
ttingorientationforassemblypurposes.Removethettingsfromthe
transmission(Figure76)anddiscardtheO-ringsfromthettings.
