RemovingtheDeckLiftManifoldAssembly
CAUTION
Beforeopeningthehydraulicsystem,operateallthehydraulic
controlstoreleasesystempressureandavoidinjuryfromthe
pressurizedhydraulicuid;refertoReleasingPressurefromthe
HydraulicSystem(page4–5).
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingdeck,shutoffthe
engine,settheparkingbrake,andremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.Raiseandsupporttheoperatorseattogetaccesstothedeckliftmanifold
assembly.
WARNING
Ensurethatthecuttingdeckisfullyloweredandsupportedbefore
looseningthehydrauliclines,cartridgevalves,orplugsfromthe
deckliftmanifoldassembly.
Ifthedeckisraisedasthedeckliftmanifoldcomponentsare
loosened,thedeckmaydropunexpectedly.
3.EnsurethatthecuttingdeckissupportedbytheHOCpinandnotbythelift
cylindersothatthedeckwillremaininpositionduringthedeckliftmanifold
removal.Ifnecessary,supportthedeckwithsolidblockstopreventitfrom
moving.
4.Cleanthehydraulichoseandtubeendsandttingsonthedeckliftmanifold
assemblytopreventhydraulicsystemcontamination.
5.Forassemblypurposes,labelallthehydraulicandelectricalconnections.
6.Disconnectthehydrauliclinesconnectedtothehydraulicttingsonthedeck
liftmanifold.Allowthelinestodrainintoasuitablecontainer.
7.Installcleancapsorplugsonthedisconnectedlinesandttingstoprevent
contamination.
8.Disconnectthewireharnessconnectorsfromthesolenoidcoilsonthedeck
liftmanifold.
9.Supportthedeckliftmanifoldtopreventitfromfalling.
10.Removethe2screws(item9inFigure151),2washers,and2angenuts
thatsecurethedeckliftmanifoldtothebracket,andremovethedecklift
manifoldfromthemachine.
11.Ifthehydraulicttingsaretoberemovedfromthedeckliftmanifold,markthe
ttingorientationforassemblypurposes.Removethettingsfromthedeck
liftmanifoldasnecessaryanddiscardtheO-ringsfromthettings.
InstallingtheDeckLiftManifoldAssembly
1.Ifthehydraulicttingswereremovedfromthedeckliftmanifold,lubricate
newO-ringswithcleanhydraulicuid,positiontheO-ringstothettings,and
installthettingsintothemanifoldports;refertoInstallingtheHydraulic
Fittings(SAEStraightThreadO-RingFittingintotheComponentPort)(page
4–9).
2.Positionthedeckliftmanifoldtothemachineandsecurethedeckliftmanifold
withthe2screws(item9inFigure151),2washers,and2angenuts.
