Iftheframeisnotsupportedasthehydrauliclinesareloosened,the
QASframemaydropunexpectedly.
3.EnsurethattheQASframeisnotsupportedbytheQASliftcylinderssothat
theframewillremaininpositionduringcontrolmanifoldservice.Ifnecessary,
supporttheQASframewithsolidblockstopreventitfrommoving.
CAUTION
Beforeopeningthehydraulicsystem,operateallthehydraulic
controlstoreleasesystempressureandavoidinjuryfromthe
pressurizedhydraulicuid;refertoReleasingPressurefromthe
HydraulicSystem(page4–5).

6.Cleanthehydraulichoseandtubeendsbeforedisconnectingthehydraulic
linesfromthecontrolmanifold.
7.Forassemblypurposes,labelallofthehydraulicandelectricalconnections.
8.Disconnectthehydrauliclinesfromthecontrolmanifold.
9.Installcleancapsorplugsonthedisconnectedhydrauliclinesandttingsto
preventcontamination.
10.Disconnectthewireharnessconnector(s)fromthesolenoidcoil(s)onthe
manifold.
11.Supportthemanifoldtopreventitfromfalling.
12.RemovethefastenersthatsecurethemanifoldtotheQASframe(Figure
156),andremovethemanifoldfromthemachine.
13.Ifthehydraulicttingsaretoberemovedfromthecontrolmanifold,markthe
ttingorientationforassemblypurposes.Removethettingsfrommanifold
anddiscardtheO-ringsfromthettings.
InstallingtheManifold
1.Ifthehydraulicttingswereremovedfromthecontrolmanifold,lubricatethe
newO-ringswithcleanhydraulicuid,positiontheO-ringstothettings,and
installthettingsintothemanifoldports;refertoInstallingtheHydraulic
Fittings(SAEStraightThreadO-RingFittingintotheComponentPort)(page
4–9).
2.Positionthecontrolmanifoldtothemachineandsecurethecontrolmanifold
totheQASframewiththeremovedfasteners.
