Atagnearthewireharnessrelayconnectorcanbeusedtoidentifyeachrelay.
Thestartrelayisusedintheenginestartingcircuit.Whenenergizedbythe
engineECU,thestartrelayprovidesacurrentpathtoenergizetheengine
startersolenoid.
TheEGRrelayisusedtoprovidecurrenttotheengineEGRvalvewhen
energizedbytheengineECU.
Theairconditioningrelay(onthemachineswithoperatorcab)isusedtocontrol
theairconditioningelectricalpowercircuitonthemachine.Whenenergizedby
theairconditioningswitch,therelayprovidescurrentfortheairconditioning
components.
Theairconditioningclutchrelay(onthemachineswithoperatorcab)isused
tomonitortheairconditioningclutch.
ThestartandEGRrelaysarelocatedinsidethepowercenterassemblybehind
theoperatorseat(Figure228).
Theairconditioningrelayislocatedinthecabheadliner(Figure229).Theair
conditioningclutchrelayisattachednearthewasheruidtank(Figure230).
