Youcanreplaceahydraulicsolenoidvalvecoilonthedeckliftmanifold(Figure
248)orsteeringselectormanifold(Figure249)withoutopeningthehydraulic
system.
RemovingtheHydraulicSolenoidValveCoils
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingdeck,settheparking
brake,shutofftheengine,andremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.Locatethesolenoidvalvecoilthatyoureplace.
A.Raisetheoperatorseattogetaccesstothedeckliftmanifold(Figure
248)forthelocationofsolenoidcoilsonthedeckliftmanifold.
B.Raisetheoperatorseattogetaccesstothesteeringselectormanifold
(Figure249)forthelocationofsolenoidcoilsonthesteeringselector
manifold.
3.Disconnectthewireharnesselectricalconnectorfromthesolenoidvalve
coilthatyoureplace.
4.Removethenutfromthehydraulicvalve.
5.Slidethesolenoidcoilfromthevalve.
6.Cleananycorrosionordirtfromthevalve.
InstallingtheLiftControlManifoldSolenoidValveCoils
1.Slidethecoilassemblyontothehydraulicvalve.
2.Installthenutontothevalveandtorquethenutto6.8N∙m(60in-lb).
Note:Donotovertightenthenut.
3.Connectthemachinewireharnessconnectortothesolenoidcoil.
4.Lowerandsecuretheseat.
