Note:Reamthebushings(item4inFigure279anditem4inFigure280)inthe
steeringarmsafterinstallation.Ifthetoolsforreamarenotavailable,replacethe
armassemblywhichhasbushingsinstalledandproperlysized.
IMPORTANT
Donotdamagetheaxleorarmboreduringbushingremoval.
1.Useabushingremovaltooltoextractboththeangebushingsfromthe
component.
2.Cleantheinsideofthecomponentboretoremoveanydirtorunwanted
material.
3.Applygreasetotheinnerandoutersurfacesofnewangebushings.
4.Pressthenewangebushingsintothetopandbottomofthecomponent
untilbushingangebottomsonthecomponent.
5.Afterbushinginstallation,ensurethattheappropriateshaft,slideseasily
intothebushings.Ifthereisanybinding,locateandcorrectthesourceof
bindingbeforenalassembly.
Theleftarmandrightarmonbothfrontandrearaxlesshouldhave0.03to
1.03mm(0.001inchto0.005inch)clearancebetweenthepinandtheinner
diameterofinstalledbushing.
