RemovingthePowerCenterAssembly
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingdeck,settheparking
brake,shutofftheengine,andremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.Disconnectthebatterycablesfromthebattery.Removethenegativebattery
cableandthenremovethepositivecable;refertoServicingtheBattery
(page5–110).
3.Unlatchtheoperatorseatandraiseit.
4.Unlatchandremovethepowercentercover(item5inFigure295).
Note:T oaccessmachinecomponentsbelowthepowercenterassembly,it
ispossibletoremovethecotterpins,clevispins,andwashersthatsecure
thepowercentertotheseatchannel.Then,thepowercenterwithall
attachedelectricalcomponentscancarefullyberaisedandsupportedtoget
accessbelowthepowercenter.Ifcompleteremovalofthepowercenteris
necessary,continuewiththefollowingsteps.
5.Forassemblypurposes,labelallthewireharnessconnectors.
6.Disconnectallthewireharnessconnectorsfromtheelectricalcomponents
attachedtothepowercenterassembly(item16inFigure295).
7.Supportthepowercenterassemblyandremovethe2hairpincotters(item
20inFigure295)and2clevispinsthatsecurethepowercenterassemblyto
theseatchannel,andremovethepowercenterassembly.
InstallingthePowerCenterAssembly
1.Positionthepowercenterassemblyontotheseatchannel.
2.Securethepowercenterassemblytotheseatchannelwiththe2hairpin
cotters(item20inFigure295)and2clevispins.
3.Usethelabelsthatyouattachedduringremovaltoconnectallthewire
harnessconnectorstotheelectricalcomponentsattachedtothepower
centerassembly.
4.Installandsecurethepowercentercoverwiththe2swelllatches(item2in
Figure295).
5.Lowertheoperatorseatandlatchit.
6.Connectthebatterycablestothebattery.Connectthepositivecableand
thenconnectthenegativecable;refertoServicingtheBattery(page5–110).
