RemovingtheHood
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingdeck,shutoffthe
engine,settheparkingbrake,andremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.Unlatchthehoodandraiseit.
3.Removethehairpincotter(item15inFigure302)fromtheleftsideframerod.
4.Slidethehoodtotheleftsideofthemachinetofreethehoodsupportfrom
theframerods.
5.Removethehoodfromthemachine.
6.Ifnecessary,removethehoodcomponents(Figure302).
7.Checktheconditionofallthesealsontheframeandhood.Replaceall
sealsthataredamagedormissing.
IMPORTANT
Ifthereisasignicantamountofunwantedmaterialontheradiator,
verifythesealingoftheradiatorarea.
InstallingtheHood
1.Installallthehoodcomponentsthatwereremoved(Figure302).
Note:Iftheintakescreenwasremovedfromthehood,ensurethatthehood
mountassembly(item9inFigure302)isattachedtothehoodbeforeyou
installthescreen.Securethescreentothehoodwiththe27plasticplugs.
2.Checkthatnogapsexistbetweenthehoodcomponentsandthehood.Ifany
gapsarefound,sealthemwithsiliconesealant.
3.Positionthehoodtothemachineandslidethehoodsupportontotheframe
rods.
4.Securethehoodtothemachinewiththehairpincotter(item15inFigure302).
5.Closethehoodandlatchit.
