3.Useanarborpresstoremovethespindleshaftfromthespindlehousing.
Note:Ensurethatthespindleshaftspacerremainsonthespindleshaft
whileremovingtheshaft.
4.Removetheoilsealsfromthespindlehousing.
5.Removethebearingcones,O-ring,innerbearingspacer,andspacerring
fromthespindlehousing.
6.Useanarborpresstoremovethe2bearingcupsandouterbearingspacer
fromthehousing.
Note:Thelargesnapringcanremaininsidethespindlehousing.Removing
thelargesnapringisverydifcult.

Note:Areplacementspindlebearingsetcontains2bearings,aspacerring,
andalargesnapring(items1,2,and3inFigure310).Youcannotpurchase
thesepartsseparately.Also,donotmixthebearingsetcomponentsfromone
deckspindletotheanother.
Note:Areplacementbearingspacersetincludestheinnerspacerandouter
spacer(items4and5inFigure310).Donotmixthebearingspacersfromone
deckspindletotheanother.
IMPORTANT
Ifnewbearingsareinstalledintoausedspindlehousing,itisnot
necessarytoreplacetheoriginallargesnapring.Iftheoriginalsnap
ringisingoodconditionwithnosignofdamage(e.g.,spunbearing),
leavethesnapringinthehousinganddiscardthesnapringthat
comeswiththenewbearings.Ifthelargesnapringisdamaged,
replacethesnapring.
