19.Removetheangenuts(item5inFigure14),snubbingwashers,andbolts
thatsecuretheengineandywheelhousingtothe4enginemounts.
IMPORTANT
Whenremovingtheengineensurethatyoudonotdamagethe
engine,ywheelhousing,fuelhoses,hydrauliclines,electrical
harnessorotherparts.Also,ensurethatthetransmissiondoes
notshiftduringengineremoval.
20.Supportthetransmissiontopreventitfrommovingduringengineremoval.
CAUTION
Use1persontooperatetheliftorhoistwhiletheotherperson
guidestheenginefromthemachine.
21.Slidetheenginerearwardtoseparateitfromthetransmissioninputshaft.
Carefullyraisetheenginefromthemachine.
22.Inspectthe4rubberenginemountsforthewearordamage.Replaceif
necessary.
23.Ifnecessary,removethe8bolts(item24inFigure14)thatsecuretheywheel
couplingtotheengine,andremovetheywheelcouplingfromtheengine.

InstallingtheEngine
IMPORTANT
Ensurethatallpartsremovedfromtheengineduringmaintenance
oroverhaularecorrectlyinstalledontheengine.
1.Applyanti-seizelubricanttothesplinesofthetransmissioninputshaft.
2.Ifremoved,installtheywheelcouplingtotheenginewiththe8bolts(item
24inFigure14),applyredgelthreadlockertothebolts,andtorquethebolts
to25.8to29.8N·m(19to22ft-lb).
3.Ifthe2mounts(items3and6inFigure14)wereremoved,installthe2
mountstotheenginewiththe8boltsand8lockwashers;torquethebolts
to32.5to56.9N·m(24to42ft-lb).
CAUTION
Theengineisveryheavy,andahoistnotratedfortheweightofthe
enginemayfail,causingpossibleinjuryanddamagetotheengine.
Usehoistequipmentratedtolifttheengine,whichisapproximately
188kg(414lb).
