energized.Theowfromthesteeringcontrolvalveineithersteeringdirectionis
directedonlytothefrontsteeringcylinder.Therearsteeringcylinderremainsin
thecentered,straightforwardposition.
4WheelSteering
Whentherearofthesteeringselectorswitchispressedwiththewheelsdirected
straightforward,the4wheelsteeringwillbeactive.Theswitchindicatorlightwill
notbeilluminatedwhenthe4wheelsteeringisactive.
Inthisswitchposition,thesteeringcontrolmanifoldsolenoidvalveisenergized.
Theowfromthesteeringcontrolvalveineithersteeringdirectionisdirectedto
boththefrontandrearsteeringcylinders.
RightTurn
Whenarightturnismadewiththeenginerunning,theturningofthesteering
wheelpositionsthesteeringcontrolspoolvalvesothatthegearpumpowis
directedthroughthebottomofthespool.Theowenteringthesteeringcontrol
valveatthePportgoesthroughthespool,isroutedthroughrotarymeterandout
thecontrolvalveRport.Thisowmovestothesteermodeselectorvalveand
thentotherearsteeringcylindertoretractthecylinderandturntherearwheels
inthedirectionforarightturn.Thehydraulicuiddisplacedfromtheretracting
rearcylinderisdirectedtothefrontsteeringcylindertoretractthatcylinderand
turnthefrontwheelsinthedirectionforarightturn.Therotarymeterensures
thattheuidowtothesteeringcylindersisproportionaltotheamountofturning
onthesteeringwheel.Theuidleavingthefrontsteeringcylinderowsback
throughthesteermodeselectorvalve,steeringcontrolspoolvalve,andthen
outofthesteeringcontrolvalvethroughtheTportandisroutedtotheoilcooler
andtransmissioncase.
ThesteeringcontrolvalvereturnstotheNEUTRALpositionwhenturningis
completed.
LeftTurn
Whenaleftturnismadewiththeenginerunning,theturningofthesteering
wheelpositionsthesteeringcontrolspoolvalvesothatthegearpumpowis
directedthroughthetopofthespool.Theowenteringthesteeringcontrolvalve
atthePportgoesthroughthespool,isroutedthroughrotarymeterandoutthe
controlvalveLport.Thisowmovestothesteermodeselectorvalveandthen
tothefrontsteeringcylindertoextendthecylinderandturnthefrontwheelsin
thedirectionforaleftturn.Thehydraulicuiddisplacedfromtheextendingfront
cylinderisdirectedtotherearsteeringcylindertoextendthatcylinderandturn
therearwheelsinthedirectionforaleftturn.Therotarymeterensuresthatthe
uidowtothesteeringcylindersisproportionaltotheamountofturningonthe
steeringwheel.Theuidleavingtherearsteeringcylinderowsbackthrough
thesteeringcontrolspoolvalveandthenoutofthesteeringcontrolvalvethrough
theTportandisroutedtotheoilcoolerandtransmissioncase.
Thesteeringcontrolvalvereturnstotheneutralpositionwhenturningis
completed.
