Input, Output & Test Options
The TM-500 consists of three areas which require setup when a new job is created: the
Input area, the Testing area and the Output area. Each area may be configured in a vari-
ety of ways, depending on the modules chosen for the TM-500.
The TM-500 must have an Input and Output Module installed to operate. Test Modules
are optional, although the EPD Sensor is included with all machines.
Module options are listed below.

• Dual Tray Input/Output
Note: Tray Output is only available with Tray Input and 3D Camera options.
• Taper with Heat and PSA Sealer
• Automatic Tape Cutter
Testing Module Options
• Empty Pocket Detection (EPD) Sensor
• 2D Vision for in-tape Mark and Orientation Inspection
Note: This chapter covers the machine setup for the Input and Output Modules and the
EPD Sensor. For setup and configuration instructions for the optional Inspection Modules,
proceed to Chapter 6: Vision/Test Setup & Operation.
