Engine Cranks/Cranks Slowly, but Does Not Start (cont’d)
Generator Not Operating Properly
Generator noise may be caused by the following
conditions:
• A loose drive pulley
• Loose mounting bolts
• Worn or dirty bearings
• A worn stator
• A worn rectifier bridge
If the pulley and the mounting bolts are snug and the
noise continues, remove the generator for replacement
or for inspection and repair. Refer to Generator Re-
placement.
