Replacement

No special tools required
1. Removal of injection
valve
1) Remove HP fuel pipe (3) of the
concerned injection valve (1), refer to
8733−1.
2) Disconnect the leakage pipe (5) from
the injection valve.
3) Remove the screws (2) with their spring
cage (3).
4) Lift the injection valve (27 kg) out of the
cylinder cover (4). Turn it a little when it
is stuck.
2. Storage and handling
1) Protect the nozzle tip integrated in the
injection valve against damage. Handle
the whole injection valve with care.
2) Store an injection valve in a dry place
but not in a place contaminated with
exhaust gases or any other corrosive
atmosphere.
3) Use white spirit for cleaning, e.g.
Shellsol TD, Shellsol T or Solvent
FP68. Always wear gloves and safety
goggles with closed side frame!
