3. Installation
1) Make sure that the thrust pads are clean.
2) Apply clean engine oil to the thrust pads.
Note: You must install the thrust pads that you removed before in the same
positions. Use your recorded notes for the correct positions.
3) Attach the eye bolt (94045-M12, Fig. 5) to the thrust pad (1).

4) Attach the manual ratchet (H3) to the eye bolt (94045-M12).
5) Use the manual ratchet to lift the thrust pad.
6) Move the thrust pad into position above the gear wheel.
7) Lower the thrust pad. Make sure that the thrust pad touches the carrier (94155A).
WARNING
Injury Hazard: Before you operate the turning gear, make sure
that no personnel are near the flywheel, or inside the engine.
8) Use the turning gear to turn the crankshaft in the applicable direction.
9) Put the subsequent thrust pad in position.
10) Do steps 3 to step 9 for each thrust pad.
11) When all thrust pads are in position, make sure that the top, outer thrust pads are at
equal height.
12) Remove the carrier (94155A).
13) Install the arbor supports (1, 5 Fig. 2) as follows:
g) Attach the eye bolt (94045-M12) to the applicable arbor support.
h) Attach the chain block (H1) to the eye bolt (94045-M12).
i) Lift the arbor support (1), then lower it into position.
