1. Preparation
1) Read the data in 0012−1 General Guidelines for Lifting Tools.
2) Stop the engine.
3) Remove the copper pipe (2, Fig. 1) from the needle valve (1), the damper housing (4)
and the hose clips (3).
4) Loosen the four bolts at the flange (8) and tap the pipe (5, Fig. 2) on the inside loose.
Remove the bolts and if necessary the pipe (7, Fig. 1) as well.
5) Remove the two pipes from the screw-in unions (6).
Note: For data about the axial damper monitor, see the Operating Manual
3140−1, paragraph 3.
6) Remove all the screws (9).
7) Slide the top housing towards free end to disconnect the pipes (4, Fig. 2) from the top
housing (5).
8) Insert two screws to prevent the top housing from sliding.
9) Remove the top housing (5, 1200 kg) with a suitable lifting device.
