4. Bearing Bushes
Injury Hazard: The weight of the pinion and shaft is 55 kg. Make
sure that you use the correct equipment and sufficient personnel
to lift and move the pinion and shaft. This will prevent injury to
personnel.
Note: Do this procedure only to do a check of the bearing bushes.
1) Do a check of the pinion (7, Fig. 6) and shaft (6) for axial clearance and damage, refer
to 03301 Clearance Table, Servo Pump Unit). If the dimensions are not in the limits
given, do step 2) to step 11).
2) Remove the three M8 screws (1).
3) Remove disc (3).
4) Remove eight M16 screws (10).
5) Remove the pump support (4, 50kg) by means ot M20 eye bolts and a suitable lifting
tool.
6) Carefully pull out shaft (6) by means of an M16 eye bolt.
7) Carefully remove the pinion (7, 50kg) from the casing (8), e.g. with a suspended rod
and counter weight.
8) Examine the bearing bushes (2, 3) for damage. Replace damaged or worn bushes.
