22) Attach the silencer (29) to the control
valve (19, Fig. 4).
23) Put the assembled shut-off valve
(500kg) in position as shown in Fig. 5.
24) Attach the flange (7, Fig. 5) to the valve
guide (16) with the eight screws (6).
25) Torque the two screws (6) to the value
given in 0352−2, paragraph 1.
26) Attach the flange (3) to the shut-off
valve with the eight screws (4).
27) Torque the eight screws (6) to the value
given in 0352−2, paragraph 1.
28) Connect the pipe (2) and (35) to the
shut off valve.
29) Install the electrical connections of the
pressure transmitter (5) and the
solenoid valves (1) and (8).
6. Shut-off Valve − Test
6.1 Initial Position
You must only do this test on a fully
assembled engine that is ready to start.
1) Make sure that the stop valves
930−V03 and 930−V04 are closed.
2) Use the handwheel (25) to move the
shut-off valve to the position CLOSED.
3) Disengage the turning gear.
6.2 Test Procedure
WARNING
Injury hazard. During this
test, do not select START.
Injury to personnel can
occur.
1) Close the ball valve 30−8605_E0_6.
2) Slowly open the stop valves 930−V03 and 930−V04.
3) Slowly loosen the screw plug (27). Make sure that no air flows out.
4) Remove the screw plug (27).
Note: If air flows out, tighten the screw plug (27). The shut off valve is not
airtight.
5) Slowly turn the handwheel (25) to move the shut-off valve to the position OPEN.
6) Make sure that air flows from the bore of the screw plug (27). When air flows, the
manual function of the shut-off valve operates correctly.
