5. Assembly
1) Make sure that all bores are clear.
2) Apply a thin layer of Molykote paste to the spring (17) and to the sliding surface of the
valve guide (16) and the valve body (18).
3) Put the O-ring (31) and valve body (18) into the housing (33).
4) Put the spring (17) on to the valve guide (16).
5) Attach the valve guide (16) to the housing (33) with the two screws (30).
6) Torque the two screws (30) to the standard torque value given in 0352−2.
7) Apply Molykote paste on the bore of the spindle nut (14)
8) Put the spindle nut (14) on to the spindle (13).
9) Apply Loctite 0243 to the threads of the spindle nut (14).
10) Put the spindle (13) and spindle nut (14) into valve (12).
11) Attach the valve (12) together with spindle (13) and piston joint ring (20) to
housing (33).
12) Apply Molykote paste to the sealing surface of the cover (9) and to the thread of the
spindle (13).
13) Put the spring (11) into the valve (12).
14) Attach the cover (9) and the O-ring to the spindle (13).
15) Attach the cover (9) to the housing (33) with the eight screws (26).
16) Torque the eight screws (26) to value given in 0352−2, paragraph 1.
17) Install the handwheel (25).
18) Attach the control valve (19) to the cover (9) with the two bolts (28).
19) Torque the two bolts (28) to the value given in 0352−2, paragraph 1.
20) Put the piston (21), valve (22), spring (23) and screw plug (32) in position in the
control valve (19), see Fig. 3.
Note: When you do the step below, look through the hole in the control
valve (19).
21) Make sure that the clearance between the valve (22) and the piston (21) is
1.0 ±0.2 mm.
