3. Installation of injection
valve
CAUTION
Do not open vacuum
packed injection valve be-
fore the installation on the
engine.
1) Clean and check the condition of the
sealing face ’SF’ in the cylinder cover
and recut it if necessary according to
2708−3.
2) If the spring cage was disassembled,
see Fig. 3 for the correct assemly of the
cup springs (2).
D Make sure the total shim thickness is
Y=5mm
D Make sure there are three groups of four
cup springs inside the bush (3)
compressed by the spring guide (5) and
secured with a circlip (4).
3) Place the injection valve (1) carefully in
the cylinder cover (8). Dowel pin (6)
assures the correct position.
4) Apply Never-Seez NSBT to the threads
and the seating surface of the
screws (7).
5) Tighten the Screws (7) equally until the
spring guide (5) is flush with the bush
(3), X = 0.
6) Install HP fuel pipe, refer to 8733−1.
