4. Installation
1) If necessary. replace the O-rings (1, 2,
8 and 12, Fig. 6).
2) Make sure that the claws (4, 13) are
correctly attached to the hydraulic
pipe (7).
Note: You can adjust the claws (4, 13)
with an open-ended wrench.
3) Make sure that there is a distance of
9.5 mm between the ends of the
hydraulic pipe (7) and the claws (4, 13).
4) Remove all the protection from the
sealing faces in the top housing (3) and
the VCU (11).
5) Apply oil to the threads of all the
screws (6, 9).
CAUTION
Damage Hazard: Make sure
that you do not damage
the sealing faces or the
hydraulic pipes. Do not
apply lateral force to the
hydraulic pipe and the
flanges.
6) Carefully put the hydraulic pipe (7) in
position in the top housing (3) and the
VCU (11).
7) Torque symmetrically the six screws (6)
to 145 Nm.
8) Make sure that there is a distance of
7.0 mm between the flange (5) and the
top housing (3).
9) Torque symmetrically the six screws (9)
to 145 Nm.
10) Make sure that there is a distance of
7.0 mm between the flange (10) and
the VCU (11).
Note: After 1000 operation hours, do
step (7) to step (10) again.
11) Set to on the main bearing oil supply.
