c. Measure the thermo sensor for resistance.
d. Install the thermo sensors and connect the
couplers.
Checking the knock sensor
1. Measure:
• Knock sensor resistance
Out of specification  Replace.
a. Disconnect the knock sensor coupler “a”.
b. Measure the knock sensor resistance.
c. Connect the knock sensor coupler.
Checking the engine shut-off switch
1. Check:
• Engine shut-off switch continuity
Out of specification  Replace.
a. Disconnect the engine shut-off switch cou-
pler.
b. Check the engine shut-off switch for conti-
nuity.
c. Connect the engine shut-off switch cou-
pler.
