2. 6 Solutions
• Alarming and Health-Care
With the Aastra Alarm Server components, I/O-Gateway and OpenCount appli-
cation, flexible solutions are available for hospitals or retirement homes. The
functions integrated in the Aastra 400 communication server – such as “Direct
response”, “Hotline alarm” or “PIN call” – enable the comfortable operation of the
available features.
• Hospitality/Hotel
The hospitality software package provides functions to implement a user-
friendly accommodation and hotel solution in the range of 4 to 600 rooms. This
solution is also ideally suited for the management of care homes and retirement
homes. Functions operated using the Aastra 5380/5380ip reception phone or
the web-based Aastra Hospitality Manager application. A connection to a Prop-
erty Management System (PMS) via the communication server's Ethernet inter-
face is also possible. The commercially available FIAS protocol is provided for
this purpose.
• Mobility
Mobility solutions – above all the Aastra Mobile Client (AMC) – offer employees
the possibility of integrating their mobile phone into the company network. The
AMCC30 and AMCC125 controllers allow mobile users to move back and forth
between the internal WLAN coverage and the mobile radio network without the
call being interrupted.
Additionally, comprehensive solutions can be realised for cordless telephony in
IP-based networks with Aastra SIP-DECT® and the Aastra 600d phone series. In
doing so, the RFP radio units are connected directly to the LAN like a VoIP device.
