PC Hardware requirements
PC Hardware requirements
The recommended and minimum PC specifications are listed in the Agilent 5110 ICP-OES
Specifications sheet and Pre- Installation Manual (G8010-90001). They can also be found on
Agilent’s website. The configuration represents the absolute minimum that is required to run the
software. This PC configuration may be out of manufacture, but you may want to use a PC you
already have. The recommended configuration should be followed when buying a new PC.

Installing the ICP Expert software
1 Switch on the PC.
2 You must be logged on with Administrator privileges to install ICP-Expert software.
3 Insert the software media into the disk drive and follow the on-screen instructions. If the
installation program does not launch automatically, run D:\Agilent ICP-ExpertSetup.
4 If the ‘Windows Logo testing’ message appears, click Continue Anyway.
5 Click Finish when the installation is complete.
6 Run the software verification, this can be found under START>All Programs>Agilent>ICP
Expert.
7 If the customer purchased the Pro software version an additional Product Key and
registration is required.
8 If you are using 21 CFR 11 software, remove the ICP Expert 7 Help CD-ROM from the
CD-ROM drive and insert the Agilent Configuration Manager (CM) CD-ROM. Follow the
instructions on the screen, in conjunction with your software installation instruction sheet .
Software registration
The ICP Expert 7 software licence requires you to register the ICP Expert 7 software before you
use it. The license does allow you to ‘trial’ the software before registering for a period of up to 60
days.
If you have not registered the software within this time, you will be locked out of the ICP Expert 7
software preventing you from opening it.
If this occurs, the ICP Expert 7 software will only allow you to register the software. It will not
allow you to register later.
When you first load the ICP Expert 7 software the following pop- up screen will be displayed.
