8-4 Pacing (Optional)
In addition, for demand mode pacing:
1. Apply monitoring electrodes. (See “Applying Monitoring Electrodes” on
page 4-4.)
2. Use to select the best lead with an easily detectable R-wave (See
“Selecting the Lead” on page 4-7.) If you do not select a lead (i.e. pads is
the selected ECG source), / HDG, is automatically selected when the pacing
function is turned on.
127( If pacing for long periods of time, new monitoring electrodes and multifunc-
tion defib electrode pads may need to be applied periodically. Refer to the
manufacturer’s documentation for recommendations regarding frequency.
