Using Multifunction Defib Electrode Pads
In preparation for defibrillation in Manual Mode using pads, perform the fol-
lowing steps:
1. If needed, insert a Data Card (as described in “Using a Data Card
(Optional)” on 2-13).
2. Turn the Energy Select knob to Manual On.
3. If you are using multifunction electrode pads, apply as directed on the
package. Use either the anterior-apex or anterior-posterior electrode
placement, as appropriate.
4. Connect the pads to the pads patient cable, as shown in Figure 6-3.
