STEP 20A
Oil level in axle and front final drives
(rigid axle)
Regularly check the oil level in the differential of the front
axle and in the front axle side final drives.
1. Park the tractor on level ground.
2. Position the final drive plugs (1- Fig.7-9A) on the wheel
centre line. Remove the plugs and check the level. The
level is correct when oil flows out of the hole. Top up
if necessary using the specified type of oil, using the
same plugs.
3. Remove the level plug (2 - Fig.7-9B) from the central axle
housing. The oil must reach the level of the plug. Top
up if necessary with oil of the specified type through
the plug (1 - Fig.7-9B).
