Version 7.2 947 Mediant 1000B Gateway & E-SBC
User's Manual 62. Configuration Parameters Reference
Parameter Description

The parameter is applicable only to the Gateway application.
[NATBindingDefaultTimeout]
The device sends SNMP keep-alive traps periodically - every 9/10 of
the time configured by the parameter (in seconds). Therefore, the
parameter is applicable only if the SendKeepAliveTrap parameter is
set to 1.
The parameter is used to allow SNMP communication with
AudioCodes EMS management platform, located in the WAN, when
the device is located behind NAT. It is needed to keep the NAT pinhole
open for the SNMP messages sent from EMS to the device.
The valid range is 0 to 2,592,000. The default is 30.
Note: For the parameter to take effect, a device reset is required.
[EnableIPAddrTranslation] Enables IP address translation for RTP, RTCP, and T.38 packets.
 [0] = Disable IP address translation.
 [1] = (Default) Enable IP address translation.
When enabled, the device compares the source IP address of the first
incoming packet to the remote IP address stated in the opening of the
channel. If the two IP addresses don't match, the NAT mechanism is
activated. Consequently, the IP address of the outgoing media stream
to the remote destination is obtained by the source IP address of the
first incoming packet.
Note: The NAT mechanism must be enabled for the parameter to take
effect. To enable NAT, see the NATMode parameter).
[EnableUDPPortTranslation] Enables UDP port translation.
 [0] = (Default) Disables UDP port translation.
 [1] = Enables UDP port translation. The device compares the
source UDP port of the first incoming packet to the remote UDP
port stated in the opening of the channel. If the two UDP ports don't
match, the NAT mechanism is activated. Consequently, the remote
UDP port of the outgoing stream is replaced by the source UDP
port of the first incoming packet.
Note:
 For the parameter to take effect, a device reset is required.
 The NAT mechanism and IP address translation must be enabled
for the parameter to take effect, using the NATMode parameter and
the EnableIpAddrTranslation parameter, respectively.
SIP NAT Detection
configure voip > sip-
definition advanced-settings
> sip-nat-detect
[SIPNatDetection]
Enables the device to detect whether the incoming INVITE message is
sent from an endpoint located behind NAT.
 [0] Disable = Disables the device's NAT Detection mechanism.
Incoming SIP messages are processed as received from endpoints
that are not located behind NAT and sent according to the SIP
standard.
 [1] Enable (default) = Enables the device's NAT Detection
mechanism.
