Widget Tips and Tricks
When you place an image widget into a panel, it may seem tricky to get
the widget size exactly the way youÕd like. The best way to resolve this is
to use any bitmap drawing program to Þnd out the exact height and
width of the image in pixels. Then, after you create the image widget in
StudioWare, enter these values in the Widget PropertiesÕ Width and
Height Þelds. Your image will appear at its original size, eliminating any
guesswork.
You may notice that horizontal sliders use the same thumb as vertical
sliders. If you arrange your sliders to be displayed horizontally, you
should right-click on the slider, choose Foreground Bitmap, and then
click the None option. This will maker the sliderÕs thumb Þt better into
the horizontal slider. Change the setting back to Default if you want to
make the slider vertical again.
To Create a Radio Group...
1. Leave Design mode and move all desired widgets to their reset or
default positions.
2. Re-enter Design mode.
3. Select all of the widgets that you want to group.
4. Right-click on one of the widgets and choose
Radio Group
from
the menu.
When you leave Design mode, moving any widget in the radio group
will move all other group members to their reset or default positions.
To Remove a Widget from a Group...
1. Select the widget you want to remove. Make sure no other
widgets are selected.
2. Right-click on the widget and choose
Radio Group

The widget is removed from the group.
