Guitar Fretboard Display, Tablature, and Tuner
Pro Audio 9 has a host of new features for guitar players, including real-
time fretboard display of MIDI guitar tracks, guitar tablature, and a
guitar tuner. You can enter and edit notes and chords from the Fretboard
or TAB displays. You can export tablature to ASCII TAB distribution on
the Internet. For more information on tablature, see ÒTablatureÓ on page
8-29.
Session Drummer
Pro Audio 9 has a new MIDI plug-in called Session Drummer that
enables you to instantly add some realistic drum grooves to your
projects, or just to play along with. For more information, see Appendix
H: Session Drummer.
Export to MP3 and RealAudio
Pro Audio 9Õs mixdown features offer greatly enhanced capabilities:
¥ Export to MP3
¥ Export to RealAudio G2 (with optional inclusion of RA 5.0-
compatible stream)
¥ Export to Windows Media Technologies 4.0
¥ Mixdown entire tracks or just the current selection (between From
and Thru times)
¥ Options to include/exclude FX, volume and pan envelopes, and
controller automation in mixed-down audio

FX Bin in Track View
Pro Audio 9 has a new Effects Bin in the Track view. You can now add
audio or MIDI effects to individual tracks without leaving the Track
view.
CPU Meter and Disk Meter
Pro Audio 9Õs Status bar now includes a CPU meter, a disk meter, and a
dropout indicator to instantly display audio performance and resources.
