Volume Control and Indicators
Now letÕs add one more control that changes the volume of the track.
WeÕll also add some LED indicators that light up at minimum and
maximum volume.
Now for the LEDs:
1. Click to leave Design Mode.
2. Adjust the knob. The value indicated by the meter should track
the changes you make.
3. Click to re-enter Design Mode.
1. Click in the StudioWare toolbar to select the Slider tool.
2. Click somewhere in the Controller cluster.
3. Resize the slider so that it is tall and thin.
4. Right-click on the slider and choose
Properties .
5. Enter Volume in the Label field.
6. Enter Volume in the Alias field.
7. Choose Controller from the Kind list.
8. Enter 7 in the Number field, or choose Volume from the drop-
down list.
9. Enter Volume in the Value field. This links the controller value to
the alias of the widget.
10. Click OK when you are done.
1. Click in the StudioWare toolbar to select the LED tool.
2. Click somewhere above the volume slider.
3. Right-click on the LED and choose
Properties .
4. Enter Maximum in the Label field.
5. Enter Volume in the Alias field.
6. In the Range fields, enter 126 as the minimum and 127 as the
maximum. This sets the LED to light up at any value higher than
126. Also, set the Initial value to 126.
