Ensure particulate filter has been
recently changed.
Ensure tubing is not kinked or
blocked.
Ensure vacuum pump is correctly
installed and operating.
Sample flow not at 1 slpm
Check/replace sample filter.
Check pump.
Check valves.
Check/replace sintered filter.
Re-calibrate pressure sensors.
Unstable flow or pressure readings
Check pressure calibration.
Check calibration valve block is
functioning and not blocked. If
unable to diagnose problem, check
the voltage across TP1 and TP2 of
pressure sensor PCA. Ensure it is
about 4 volts ± 0.3 volts. If unable to
diagnose problem, it may be a noisy
A/D converter, replace main
controller PCA.
A leak in the instrument or
calibration system dilutes the sample
stream and causes low span readings
and noise.
Correlation wheel has leaked replace
correlation wheel.
Adjust the span using the calibration
procedure (refer to Section 5.5).
Leak or blockages in tubes or valves.
Perform leak check and flow check
and repair any leaks/blockages.
Faulty calibration source
Ensure calibration gas is plumbed
correctly and is not contaminated or
has no leaks and is a certified
reference gas.
Correlation wheel leaking
Replace correlation wheel.
Ensure instrument is operated in a
temperature controlled environment
with the lid on.
Ensure zero air source is not overly
polluted.
Perform a leak test (refer to
Section 6.4.4).
Replace CO-CO
2
converter.
