2. Due to the fact that the section of best view of follicles used for follicle size measurement may not
show the best view of the ovary, the result of ovary size measured at the section of the best views
of follicles is for reference only. Please select a best view of the ovary and measure the size of the
ovary manually to confirm its size.
Using eFollicle measurement:
1. Select GYN or IVF exam preset.
2. Scan follicle images in B mode, and freeze the system.
3. Roll the trackball to select a good frame.
4. Press the user-defined key on the control panel or on left side of the touch screen, depending on
which key has been configured as eFollicle measurement function (see section 10.1.2 for the
configuration).
5. The system automatically detects the follicles and ovary structure on the ultrasound image and
displays their results on the left of the main screen.
6. View the results of each follicle, and select the results to enter them into report.
Understanding eFollicle screen:
The screen display of eFollicle measurement is illustrated as the figure shown below.
Zone 1:
The measuring lines of follicles and ovary are coded with different colors. Move the cursor over one
follicle, and its measurement result at the left of the screen will be highlighted. You can define how
many follicles can be detected, define whether to display the number or mean diameter value on each
follicle, etc(see section 10.5.1 for the configuration).
Zone 2:
The measurement results of each follicle are listed according to the size.
Zone 3:
The measurement results of ovary are displayed.
