EXAMPLE
This example sets the maintenance level for sending AIS messages within
the specified MA.
Console(config)#ethernet cfm ais level 4 md voip ma rd

ethernet cfm ais ma This command enables the MEPs within the specified MA to send frames
with AIS information following detection of defect conditions. Use the no
form to disable this feature.

[no] ethernet cfm ais md domain-name ma ma-name
domain-name – Domain name. (Range: 1-43 alphanumeric
characters)
ma-name – Maintenance association name. (Range: 1-43
alphanumeric characters)

â—† Each MA name must be unique within the CFM domain.
◆ Frames with AIS information can be issued at the client’s maintenance
level by a MEP upon detecting defect conditions. For example, defect
conditions may include:

Signal failure conditions if continuity checks are enabled.
â–
AIS condition or LCK condition if continuity checks are disabled.
â—† A MEP continues to transmit periodic frames with AIS information until
the defect condition is removed.
EXAMPLE
This example enables the MEPs within the specified MA to send frames with
AIS information.
