  If you cannot access the onboard configuration program of the Edge-Core Network Router via a serial port connection, first check that your terminal emulator program is set to VT100 compatible, with 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity, and the baud rate set to 115200 bps. Also, verify that you are using the DB-9 null-modem serial cable supplied with the switch. If you are using another cable, ensure it conforms to the pin-out connections provided in the Installation Guide. If the issue persists, contact your local distributor.

  If you're having trouble connecting to the Edge-Core Network Router using Secure Shell, it might be due to exceeding the maximum number of concurrent Telnet/SSH sessions permitted. Try connecting again later. Also, ensure that the control parameters for the SSH server are correctly configured on the switch and that the SSH client software is properly configured on your management station. Generate both an RSA and DSA public key on the switch, export this key to the SSH client, and enable the SSH service. Try using another SSH client or check for updates to your current SSH client application. Make sure you've set up an account on the switch for each SSH user, including username, authentication level, and password.
