IGMP Snooping
– 1205 –
ip igmp snooping This command enables IGMP snooping globally on the switch or on a
selected VLAN interface. Use the no form to disable it.
SYNTAX
[no] ip igmp snooping [vlan vlan-id]
vlan-id - VLAN ID (Range: 1-4094)

â—† When IGMP snooping is enabled globally, the per VLAN interface
settings for IGMP snooping take precedence.
â—† When IGMP snooping is disabled globally, snooping can still be
configured per VLAN interface, but the interface settings will not take
effect until snooping is re-enabled globally.
EXAMPLE
The following example enables IGMP snooping globally.
