The following signals, used for monitoring or connecting to an analyzer, are available at connector P7
located at the bottom edge of the card. These signals are normally not active. To activate them, pin 8
(Shutdown) must be grounded to pin 2 using a jumper; this does not affect normal operation. All
unused signals can be left unterminated.

4.4.4 Leased-Line Communications Card Wiring
The Leased-line Modem Card interfaces to a leased line through the RJ11 jack. Refer to Section 4.3.2
for jumper settings and Section 4.3.3 for attenuation resistors. The terminal functions depend on the
mode of operation of the card, either 2-wire or 4-wire, as follows:
RJ11 OPERATING MODE
TERMINAL 2-Wire 4-Wire
BLK (Not used) Tip2
RED Tip Tip1
GRN Ring Ring1
YEL (Not used) Ring2
Figure 4-11 shows the wiring connections to the card.
