3.7.2 Assign External Inputs a Format and a Button
1. Select System from the Main Menu.
2. Select the Externals tab.
3. Select Sets 1–8
4. Set the format to Stereo L R.
5. To assign Ext Mon Inputs 1 and 2 to Device 1 button as a stereo pair, touch the
buttons labeled 1 and 2 in the first row and touch Set Format.
6. Touch the Device 1 button on the far left and name the device Off Air.
7. Repeat the steps above for all externals.
The system allows any combination of formats. For example, a 5.1 Dolby E monitor set
of six inputs could be assigned as a 5.1 format to device button 2.
3.8 Monitors
Setting up the monitors is the final step to getting sound to the speakers. Note that only
certain monitor outputs can handle surround outputs.
