Chapter 3: Operation
Diagnostics
The Diagnostics group controls is a set of commands for checking your
Quantum’s setup and general operation.
Base Deflection
Click BASE DEFLECTION to run a test the physical setup of your Quantum. If this
test fails, run
Diagnostic Tilt command to test for any tilt in the base of the
Quantum.
1. Set up the FARO compensation cone approximately ⅔ of the Quantum's
reach away from its base.
2. Place a properly compensated probe firmly in the cone.
3. Click Reset Data to begin the test.
4. Press the green Front button and move the tubes and joints of the Quantum
while keeping the probe firmly seated in the cone.
NOTE: Press the green Front button to reset the screen at any time.
5. Press the red Back button to stop.
