Chapter 5: FiberInspector™ Pro Tests
The optional FI-1000 FiberInspector Pro video probe (the Probe) is
a hand-held video probe used with a Versiv Series Tester (the
tester) to let you inspect the endfaces in single fiber optic
connectors.
The optional FI-3000 and FI-3000-NW FiberInspector Pro video
probes (the Probe) are hand-held video probes used with a Versiv
Series Tester (the tester) to inspect fiber optic endfaces on MPO or
single fiber connectors. The FI-3000 can be used with the FI-IN™
app (the App) on a mobile device. The FI-3000-NW probe cannot
be used with WiFi or the App.
The Probe lets you see dirt, scratches, and other defects that can
cause unsatisfactory performance or failures in fiber optic
networks.
Use the Probe with a direct USB connection to a Versiv Series
Tester to view and analyze endfaces and save and share test
results. To perform these functions wirelessly, use the FI-3000
with the FI-IN app on a mobile device.
The FI-1000 probe is included with the FI-7000 kit. The FI-3000
probe is included with the FI2-7300 kit. The FI-3000-NW probe is
included with the FI2-7300-NW kit. The FI-1000 is an optional
accessory for the CertiFiber Pro and OptiFiber Pro Testers.
