Defects Tab
The DEFECTS tab shows the number and size of the Scratches and
Defects such as a particle of dirt, a chip, or a pit located in each
zone. See Figure 51.

 Zone A shows defects located in the core.
The measurement rings show after you tap ANALYZE. The sizes
of the rings are specified by the limit. To specify different sizes,
make a custom endface limit.
 Zone B shows defects located in the cladding.
 Zone D shows defects located in the contact zone.
 There are no scratches in the zones greater than the allowable
size or number.
 This defect is green because the limit allows for a greater
number of defects of this size or smaller in this zone.
 This defect is red because there are a greater number of defects
of this size than the limit allows in this zone.
