Probe and Tip Selection
Select the appropriate Probe, tip, connector, and adapter.
To do a single fiber inspection, use:
• The FI-3000 probe with a single fiber adapter and the
appropriate single fiber tip.
• The FI-1000 probe with the appropriate single fiber tip.
To do an MPO inspection, use:
• The FI-3000 probe with the appropriate MPO tip and, if
necessary, the appropriate MPO aligned or opposed key
adapter.
• The FI-1000 probe with the MPO/MTP
®
adapter and MPO/APC
adapter
. The MPO/APC adapter does not have an MPO key.
Note
Features and instructions that refer to the key
position of a tip do not apply to the FI-1000 probe
and only apply to MPO tests with the FI-3000
probe.
FI-1000 Probe Setup
Attach the appropriate tip or adapter to the Probe. See Figure 40
and Figure 41.
